The adult-benefit is adjusted where a family has at least one dependent child 18 years of age or over in a VOCATIONAL training program at the SECONDARY level or attending COLLEGE or UNIVERSITY.
The adjustment ceases to be paid in the month following the month in which the child ceases to attend this type of educational institution.
The amount of the adjustment varies according to the ORDER of the child in the family, the first child being the youngest, and the others following in increasing order of age. In the case of a two-parent family, it also depends on whether or not one of the adults has a severely limited capacity for employment.
The adult-benefit is adjusted by $100 for each dependent child of full age in a VOCATIONAL training program at the SECONDARY level or attending COLLEGE or UNIVERSITY, for each month the child RESIDES WITH THE FAMILY.
The adjustment is granted as of the month in which the child enters this type of institution.
Where the child RESIDES with the family during SUMMER HOLIDAYS only, the adjustment is granted beginning in the month following the child’s return.
