Persons, including those aged 65 or over, must PROVE that they has a severely limited capacity for employment. In addition to the medical report that must be provided, other information, about the socio-occupational profile, for example, may be required as proof.
Despite the responsibility that lies with clients, they can rely on ASSISTANCE from an Income Security officer in submitting this proof, given that this program is intended for a particularly vulnerable clientele.
With the client’s AUTHORIZATION, further information can be obtained from the attending physician. Likewise, documents already in the file, or in the possession of the client or others can be used with the client’s CONSENT.
