18.04.01.03 – Adult not deemed to receive a parental contribution

In certain cases, due to the situation of his/her parent(s), an adult is not deemed to receive a parental contribution.

 

An adult is not deemed to receive a parental contribution when he meets one of the criteria for independence (see section 18.4.1.2) or one of the situations described in the items below.

 

The steps relating to parental contributions do not apply when the adult is not deemed to receive a parental contribution.

For situations relating to a deceased parent, see section 18.4.1.6.

For situations relating to parental violence, see section 18.4.1.7.

For situation who adults can demonstrate that they cannot depend on their parents for subsistence, see section 18.4.1.8

For situations where one parent refuses to supply the necessary information or refuses to collaborate, see sections 18.4.1.9 and 18.4.1.10
