17.05.02 – Requests coming from any source

The following pathway is used for request for major changes.

The FNQSDO may for example propose a solution that will have an impact on indexation in remote regions.

It is the FNQSDO’s responsibility to formulate the recommendation and to send the relevant information to the Adhering Communities Committee, the function of which committee is to validate, formulate and/or develop modifications. For this type of request, the main function of the committee will be to validate the relevance of the information, which will be sent to the Chiefs Assembly.

This request will then be sent to the Joint Committee, which committee is responsible for follow up. As part of the follow-up the request submitted must be validated and or improved.

The information is sent to the Secretariat of the Chiefs Assembly, who will then intervene with a decision.

Then there will be feed-back to the FNQSDO, which is the body responsible to make the modifications, if required, which information will then be sent to the relevant stakeholders, in this case the Councils and the Joint Committee.
