This activity includes:
- Land monitoring;
- Bank maintenance;
- Pathway maintenance;
- Encampment building and maintenance;
- Wildlife management.
This list is not exhaustive and it is the Band Council’s responsibility to identify activities that may be included.
In order to be allowed to engage in an activity, clients shall register with the organization certified by the Band Council prior to the activity start date.
When a client receives additional income from another source, the excluded work income shall be taken into consideration. The amount depends on the rate allocated to the client.
The initiative is designed to lead to permanent employment. Optional activities shall not last more than one (1) year.
