EXCLUDED INCOME FROM SUPPORT PAYMENTS
Effective April 1, 2023, support payments received by a recipient family (single-parent or two-parent) are excluded from income calculated for last resort purposes up to $500 /month for each dependent child.
The income from the support payment is excluded monthly by applying the rule of anteriority of the deficit, regardless of whether the support payment was the result of a judgment rendered by a court or a written agreement. It is excluded to the extent that the support payment is made and regardless of any other amounts excluded.
