Support paid to independent adults by their fathers or mothers is excluded, to a maximum of the parental contribution they are deemed to receive.
When the parents provide the information allowing to calculate the amount of the parental contribution, the amount is excluded to the maximum of the calculated parental contribution.
When the parents refuse to provide the information allowing to calculate the amount of parental contribution, the amount of support paid is included in its entirety.
Support payments are amounts of MONEY or ASSETS given to support the needs of adults. Since parental contributions reduce the benefits to which they are entitled, the amounts they receive from their parents are not calculated a second time.
Only the PORTION THAT EXCEEDS the amount established as a parental contribution is included.
