03.01.12 – Adult staying in an addiction treatment centre

An adult staying in a centre offering addiction treatment services is considered to be eligible for last resort financial assistance. This person may be found to have a temporarily limited capacity for employment (TLCE), which is demonstrated through the attestation of a specialist working in the health and social services network or an addiction worker at the centre. The TLCE allowance may also be granted when the person staying in an addiction treatment centre provides proof of a civil or criminal judgment whose terms make mention of this type of stay or any document presenting the stay as a condition of release of the accused.
