A single adult receiving housing and the minor housed with his or her dependent child are not eligible for special allowances beginning the month following their placement admission, with the exception of the following special allowances;
- Funeral expenses
- Lodging expenses ($416/month, maximum of 12 months)
During a PERIOD OF HOSPITALIZATION in a short-term care hospital, the housed adult is eligible for the same special allowances as a hospitalized person. This is notably the case when a person is being housed temporarily and is waiting for a bed in a place of accommodation or to receive continuous care.
